State immigration enforcement-only laws like SB 1070 in Arizona and HB 56 in Alabama harmed states´economies, costing jobs and tax revenue. The insitute for taxation and Economic Policy found that in 2010, unauthorized immigrants in the United States paid an estimated $10.6 billion in state and local taxes -economically benefiting states and localities.
